What is Highpointe close to?
Highpointe is close to a lot, including Target (coming in 2028), Highpointe has 78737 zip code and Austin mailing address, but generally considered Dripping Springs, and zoned to Dripping Springs ISD.
Sycamore Springs middle school and elementary school are located less than half a mile from HighPointes community entrance.
Downtown Austin can be reached in about 30 minutes. Austin International Airport is roughly 35 to 40 minutes. During peek traffic hours you should allow for 60 minutes but very rarely would it take any longer.
From Highpointe, it will take you about 45 minutes to get to The Domain and the Q2 soccer stadium.
At less than a mile from the neighborhood, Belterra Village is a go-to hub where locals grab coffee at Summer Moon, enjoy dinner at The Switch or Pieous, catch a movie at EVO Cinemas, or stop in for groceries at HEB and browse local shops. You’ll also find doctor offices, Urgent Care, Golds Gym, banks and other professional services. and fitness classes. Just down the road, residents can be in downtown Dripping Springs in minutes to enjoy breweries, wineries, and community events, or head east toward Oak Hill and Austin for expanded shopping and dining. There are multiple, high-rated, childcare options nearby as well. The location makes it easy to enjoy the Texas Hill Country lifestyle while staying connected to work, schools, and the places you frequent the most.

What amenities does Highpointe have?
The amenities at Highpointe center on a clubhouse, a fitness center and a seasonal pool with a splash pad that the kids love. There’s something for all the sports enthusiasts: from tennis courts and basketball courts to a baseball field and soccer field, where some of the local rec teams even hold practices. There are miles upon miles of beautifully shaded hiking trails. There are sidewalks throughout the community, making going from your neighbor's house to home safe and easy, even for kids there's also a pond that’s great for fishing!
You'll also find picnic areas and barbecue pits that are great for getting together with neighbors and friends and having community events. There are also HOA organized events throughout the year.
Schools
What schools is Highpointe zoned to?
Be aware, school zoning can and does change. Especially in areas that are growing as quickly as Hays County, it is incredibly unlikely that the district would be rezoned. However, the zoning of elementary schools, middle schools, and even high schools does change, and as new neighborhoods come in, schools get built.
They often have a student population that gets redistributed to meet staffing and space restrictions. That means that the home that you are looking at (because it is zoned to an elementary school that you just love) may not be zoned to that elementary school a year from now.
The good news is that all of the schools in the Dripping Springs School District are truly excellent. They have wonderful, talented and caring educators and beautiful facilities.

Getting Around
Highpointe is one of the many “golf cart” communities in the area, many homeowners have a golf cart-type of vehicle for getting around the community. Golf carts are often used to drop off and pick up elementary and middle school students, Trick-Or-Treating and participation in community parades.
There are sidewalks as well for safely walking and jogging and you'll also find bike paths throughout the community.
Ride shares (Uber, etc.) are easily accessible in Highpointe however there is no public transportation and currently, as of 11/2026, there is no commerce within walking distance.

The part buyers most often misunderstand is property tax.
This neighborhood sits inside Hays County MUD No. 5, a municipal utility district, which is a special taxing district that charges property owners to pay for water and sewer infrastructure. This amount IS included in the above rate.
